![]() My biggest problem with Limewire are its users - I mean would it kill anyone to write a descriptive file name - things like version, operating system (for the Mac vs. PC people), tell us if it is a crack or the actual app, includes a serial number... not to mention posting corrupt zip files... It is a mess! Also, what is the deal with so many downloads just hanging - meaning I slelect a file and get an endless "Requery Sent, Waiting..." especially when so many seem to be T1 lines (like I belive that in the first place). If you are running Limewrie, then don't be so stingy with your bandwidth percentage or slots - just turn it off it you aren't going to contribute. Some may say this is the price I pay for not paying the price, but if this is going to work, people have to be a little more cooperative. |

![]() I understand what you are saying. There are alot of cr@p files out there. Corrupt, completely different than the title, incomplete... We just have to keep trying sometimes until we get what we want. "Beggars can't be choosers", right? ![]() ![]() Anyway, as for the titling: unfortunately, Mac users are very limited in titling. We are only allowed so many characters for a file name. Sometimes we have to be a little creative. It sucks. I'd sure like to be able to use more words sometimes. But, I can't. ![]() |

![]() I have gotten bad files and added "BAD" to their names, since on a Mac I don't have many letters to spare. Well, guess what? They are my most popular files! People only see the grouped files and don't check in the list. Also, I don't think you can give a file a long name if it wasn't downloaded from Limewire to begin with. Every time I try this, when I refresh the list, the name returns to the original short Mac name. Same thing with aliases. The way Limewire treats file names on the Mac is one of the lamest features. Why can't it just drop the middle out instead of giving it a gibberish series of letters and numbers? .sit is for Mac, .zip is for PC. Easy rule.
