Something Disturbing and Fishy!! I'm always experimenting with programs to see what happens when you do something your not suppose to do. I'm curious that way. I recently decided to take one of my mp3 files and give it a series of letters that no one would use for a title (ex. jjjjjx.mp3). Then I went and typed in the letters into the title slot under Audio, thinking I might only see one entry, mine! To my surprise I saw many results some with "AWESOME", "the real thing" or "please share!!!" after them. All of these were on T3 connections. I tried downloading them to see what they were. They could not be downloaded. I thought maybe it's just a coincidence, so I created in a more complex title on my mp3 file (44hjsjjjjz.mp3) and did the search again. the same thing happened again, dozens of "44hjsjjjjz.mp3" on T3 connection appeared. What is this? It's bad enough downloading a file thinking it's one thing only to get a porn add that automatically makes my browser open to a porn site (abusers of Lime Wire), but this seems like something that is part of Lime Wire. Does Lime Wire pad search results with non-downloadable ghost items? |
