Default can't chat, can't play mpg's
Can't chat (get the window, no cursor). Can't play d/l mpg. Have latest Quicktime, can play other videos, just not my d/l stuff. It says missing "software component". Sheesh.

why is it limewire's foult that you can't get your movie player working, or that you havent installed needed codecs?

Why are you so grumpy? I can play other movies, just not the ones I download? If I wanted someone to lecture me I'd call my mother.

Ok, me again. A more constructive approach: Ok, so how do I install needed codecs? (I feel like I'm dealing with the pc tech support at my job...)

Default Missing software component
Hi,
Missing software component means that you have to purchase a seperate component at around $20 to play the mpeg using quicktime. Or you could visit www.videolan.org for a free player that plays almost any file depending on your O.S.

I'm trying not to be tedious, but it's too late for that: i am on a Mac running OS 9, and Videolan's free player is only for OSX. Now what? (thanks for your help)
