Small Community File shareing software

I belong to a small community of about 500 to 1000 people. We are spread across the globe and would like a fileshareing system that allows us to share files with each other. Although we are all a part of limewire and kazza, it is at times very hard to find the 1 file we want in a system conataining millions of users.

Is there a p2p software that will allow us to have our own limeware in a sence and or can any one on th8is board be of any help in creating such a program?

Gnutella is not very well adabted for such usage that you describes. If all you want to do is share a certain amount of files between eachother then I would suggest either to use a messenger service such as ICQ that allow users to send files between eachother or simply that one of you that are allowed by the ISP to set up your computer for use as a webbserver or password protected FTP webbserver that way the files will always be easy to transfer amongst you.
