File Hosting Quote: Originally posted by arne_bab Do you have any tariffs for program authors, who want to host their programs in Gnutella?
Are these fixed trariffs (if you have them), so that one pays exactly the same, if the file has been requested a million tiomes, or only once?
Since other people also act as sources, I think, that this would be the best model, maybe pay by size. | No, we do not have the tariffs for program authors who wish to host their content in gnutella. To use your term "Fixed tariffs" in terms of our hosting we employ the following methodology.
#1-there's a fixed monthly cost associated with the content to be hosted.
that cost currently is (1-cent per megabyte) for example:
10MB = 0.10
100MB = 1.00
1000MB = 10.00
There is no additional costs for bandwidth because we are acting a 24/7 source for the hosted content in a distributed system.
