How do I burn .sit and .dmg files to disc?

How do I burn .sit and .dmg files to disc?

I'm using a pc to download programs. They are in .sit and .dmg files and I don't know how to burn them to a disc as a program. I tried using nero to burn it as a data disc but It won't let me. I know there's got to be someone out there that knows how to do this.
