Unhappy Speed - limewire

im not totally thrilled by the claim of being faster than kazaa... i will at least say that i have not found any ghost files or looped files using limewire.... if there are i haven't found them .. . but for the download speeds.... im sorry to say it doesn't even come close to kazaa... i have a cable connection... with kazaa i would download between 100 - 350kbps on most occasions and had peaked at 400-500kbps .. though of course there were
times when i wasn't able to find a file with users offering high bandwidth and i would download at slower speeds but with limewire i have yet to download consistently over 29kbps. the speed once peaked at 52kbps but in the end it dropped down to about 3kbps. why is that? i have been downloading for sometime now and i know enough to pick the files with multiple users but i am still not thrilled with the speeds. if there is something i am doing wrong or something that i can do to increase my speeds perhaps you can let me know..
thank you

It's all a matter of luck. You can download at much higher speeds with LimeWire if you are lucky enough.

Configuring your router/firewall for LimeWire usually increases your average speed a little if you don't accept incoming connections. Apart from that I really don't know any secret tricks to increase the speed.

@ Stief KB/s for Kazaa, the P2P in Kb/s by default are Bearshare and Shareaza.
