1 more ting

also,

in the incomplete folder there is only 1 song. i deleted the rest.

would that be why nothing came back?

i also (in my computer) searched through the limewire folder and there was no media files just the following folders:

LimeWire 4.0.8
root
New Folder (the one i just made manually...)
magnet10 (in the root folder)

wasn't there another folder beside root? or are my eyes playing tricks on me

thanks again (twice)

maybe you'd want to move that song, just incase and when you reinstalled did you delete the LW prefs(c:\documents and settings\ ' shared location' \ .limewire
and the limewire folder usually in program files

If you wanted to keep your incomplete files to continue dwnlding with them, you definitely should not have deleted them! The idea of setting the dwnld folder is to double-check nothing has changed, such as by accidently pressing the default button without realising it. But all the same, if you want to create a new dwnld folder, Tools-Options & Saving & press Add & Apply. Wherever your dwnld folder is your incomplete folder will probably be nearby. Don't delete your old downloads.dat file. If you have created a new dwnld folder then you'll need to move your old incompletes there. If things have gone wrong (such as created a new dwnld folder in a new location), you can add your incomplete files to your incomplete folder (new if it be) & in the LW Library window click incomplete folder to open it & press resume for those files. They will then be re-added to the dwnld window & will seek sources. Searching for them will help them to connect obviously. To continue sharing, add whichever folders you desire using Tools-Options-Sharing & Add & Apply.

i am so confused

i am so confused, i did all of the steps that you guys said to do in the previous posts, and i still don't have my music back. I have a new folder, and it says Limewire> limewire 4.0.8> root> magnet 10, and none of them have my music in them. Any help would be greatly appriciated!
Thank you

i dont understand what you guys are talking about either...when u go to add under sharing all it has is stupid stuff that has no music in it...all i want is my music back and i dont know why it disappeared just because i clicked stop sharing...this sucks, please help

cool men wear kilts September 19th, 2004 10:36 PM

"add whatever folders you desire...." there are no music folders under this thing and it sucks

I'm a person who likes to know where my files are. Do a search on your computer for .mp3 & you are bound to find where this missing folder(s) is (make a note of its location & directory path.) Once located, then you can add it as a shared folder.
