when i run xxxxx .toast an error comes up saying there's no mountable file system. is there anyway i can fix this?

Did you dld it with LW? If yes then try looking for another dld: I also dlded xxxxx and (after a few dlds) found one that worked just fine. Unfortunately, I have formated my disc since then and am unable to tell you which one it was (definitely wasn't a .toast file, but most probably a .sit
