Just to clarify this lingering issue once again, the last person who posted was correct in saying that this was a bug in Bearshare that is fixed in their most recent version.

The problem was that Bearshare was not following standard HTTP, the most widely used protocol on the Internet, and an extremely well documented one at that.

As you might imagine, the public denouncing of LimeWire for a bug in Bearshare and lack of testing on the Bearshare side is a bit trying for everyone over here. Luckily we're all professionals!
