When I have used other sites I can delete music it always goes to the recycle bin. When I delete from Limewire the files are simply erased it seems. Are these old files still on my hard drive somewhere? Maybe they are completely erased but I just dont feel secure not seeing them placed in the the recyle bin! It makes me feel they are still lurking in my computer somewhere!

Run a search (you got Windoze, right?) for one of the files you deleted.
To delete the files, try right-clicking them (while they are still in your shared folder) and selecting Delete from there or drag and drop them manually in te recycle bin.
I would suppose that the files are indeed somewhere still in your PC since, if I remember well, you need to do a Empty Recycle Bin procedure before they actually are completely erased.
