Hopefully somebody can help me, thanks. | Don't stress! If you can't find them using the "search" function they can still be on your hard drive. Look for a program called 'File Scavenger' (a search turned up 32 results). It will find anything deleted on your hard drive.
I turned my pc into a picturesque black screen awhile ago - ty microsoft  - and even after a helpful person brought it back to life there was much he was unable to retrieve. 6 months later I used this program & was able to get my files, music, etc back. It also was able to retrieve inf. I had deleted about 2 yrs ago, despite nonprotected deletes & frequent defrags - very scary stuff!
Also, you mentioned restoring your computer - winxp? I think system restore only works for programs & settings, not for data.  |
