Bombarded and pulled plug aaarugh! Last night I was running limewire at work on the T1 line. My admin came in and saw about 400 users acessing our network... and locked it down. Fortunately I still have my job. Now I'm out of limewire, and not by choice. Apparently today our firewall is still having "attacks" and is still blocking access. In reading some other threads I see this is a known issue with Limewire. I want to share files. I want access. Is there anything I could have done differently to... limit the number? I know we want to share... but our net access was effectively shut down? Is it something in limewire or just malicious people who happen to use it? Thanks for any insights! |
