Paying for Limewire

I paid $30 for a lifetime membership to http://www.mymusicinc.com and was connected up to limewire. I have contacted them and have asked what gives. Has anyone else joined through them? If so have you contacted them and gotten a response? Thanx for any info

Whoah! If I was you I'd cancel the transaction thru your bank immediately. That is not the official LW site & chances are you've either been given the free version of LW instead or a lesser version created outside of the LW development. The official site to get Limewire (LW) is here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml LW Pro is $18.88 with 6 mths support & free updates. Or you can try out the free version 1st. Since you didn't pay via LW's site, you wouldn't be eligible to Pro support or updates or the Pro version.

It seems that jrwaits47 has been conned out of his money, it's unfortunate but the Internet is now well populated with con artists and charlatans. It is far easier for the unwary to fall into a web site selling snake oil (fake products) than to find a legitimate site for products you actually want.

Since there is no way to get a message to novices to beware, I suggest that anyone who knows someone that is going to venture onto the internet for the first time to warn them of the inherent dangers. Also, advise first time users not to spend more than £5.00 (UK) or $10.00 (US) the first time they buy something from an internet site, that way they will find out if the site is legitimate or not.
