I downloaded a movie, but when I tried to burn it, it said the format wasn't supported. (avi)
Any suggestions? Thanks!! |

avi is one of the formats burners generally love to burn. But there can be variations of avi; eg: avi-divx. Have you checked for updates for your burner softw. Which OS are you using & which burner app?

Thanks for answering! I'm using XP and Roxio. My comp. is fairly new, and there's no "free" upgrades available.
Thanks for any help or advice you can give! Cathy |

You're using Roxio Easy... & it can't burn the file. That is strange. Did you select video format & then drop (or select) the video file in. Roxio should then convert it to what's needed in the mins before burning after you press the burn button. Which version do you have? See for updates here: http://www.roxio.com/en/support/software_updates.jhtml
