im trying to uninstall limewire but when i try to do it i get told that another person or program in using it so it cant do it the other reason i get is that its a read only file. what the hell do i do?

lol Make sure all occurences of LW are closed. That includes making sure LW is not in the bar next to the Start button. Drag them out if they are. Also make sure you didn't have LW set to start when your comp starts. One way to check is to open LW & go to Tools>Options>Advanced>System Startup & untick Start on System Startup & press the Apply button. Also make sure its not set to start when you connect to the net. Tools>Options>Connections & untick option to Connect on Startup which means to connect when your comp is connected to the net. Press Apply. |
