![]() everytime i search for any type of file, this fake file always shows up. it is always has the same name of what i'm searching for, and it is always 104.7kb or 114.6kb if its a video. the size varies if it is an image file. it is always the same thing too - a pic or vid of an mp3 player for sale. is there any way to filter this file out when searching? thanks |

![]() Dear igignigot Unfortunately, you have come across one of the disadvantages of P2P, the fake file. I understand that these fake files are probably dialers or, if not, something designed not to do you any good. Whenever I do a search, on completion, I order the results by size, largest files at the top and smallest at the bottom, that way the fakes end up at the bottom of my list. The one "New Feature" request that keeps getting knock back is where a "size filter" is asked for. For some reason, Limewire programmers cannot incorporate this facility within the application, mores the pitty. UK Bob |
