 Removing animations from GUI Peeps, The spinning LimeWire icon during searches seemed like a waste of precious system resources to me, so I downloaded the generic_theme.lwtp file from the custom themes page at LimeWire.com & replaced the searching.gif (8 kb) with a renamed copy of the notsearching.gif (4 kb) & now all seems well.  Does anyone know of any serious dangers stemming from such hacks? If at all possible I'd like to replace/remove some other GUI animations from the Mac OS X themes, but I'm hesitating until I get some feedback from those in-the-know. Cheers, 7im  |
