I did take a walk down to the [expletive deleted] store. They didn't have it, genius. If they did do you think I'd be having this discussion with all you "open network" (l)users? If you can find a digital copy to download, or for sale, anywhere I'd love to know about it.

What's with all the potty mouth BS anyway? Grow up...

By the way, I'm sure DEEPBLUE (the computer) is not only smarter, but it probably has more personality than you..:D

Yeah, and at what point do you tell us that?

Oh, I'll bet that it's in here. It's really amazing what Google can do for you. I guarentee that if you pull your head out of your *** and look a little, that you will be able to find the song.

I don't suppose you could possibly imagine that deepblue has more than one meaning...

And the song is actually called *link removed*.

That's a very interesting article & so many scam sites around. It's just so easy to be tricked.

Be carefull Lord, he doesn't like to click on links, he prefers flaming.

Maybe now we should have a "Scammed" thread in this forum, it's quite obvious that "therog" had not done his research before he started throwing accusations around.

If people want to download digital music there are lots of legitimate organisations, such as Amazon, Napster, Virgin, etc. in the US and here in the UK that will supply you with what you want. It will cost you something per download, less than a US Dollar or a UK Pound, but it is legal. However, if you are looking for unlimited downloads for a one off cost then you will be conned. There is no company or organisation in the world that can offer you an unlimited number of MP3 music for nothing, the copyright holders want to be paid.

If “therog” applied a little common sense to his internet searching he would have seen that he was being ripped off.

Let's calm down a bit folks. Question was asked, question was answered. Game over.

Correct! I said that in my third post of this thread and, again, My sincere apologies to LW.

What brought me to LW and this forum in the first place is, as I've pointed out, none of the "legitimate organisations" had what I was looking for. It appears to have only been published on vinyl. By the way, it's nice to see someone in this forum, besides myself, who understands the difference between "legitimate" and the intellectual property theft that goes on on P2P networks. ("The developers of LimeWire, or any other Gnutella client, are in no way responsibile for the content that is shared on the gnutella network". -deepblue. right, right, it's the users who participate that are to blame. not those who facilitate it for profit. makes perfect legalese-sense to me.) (by the way, deepblue, I'm quite capable of entertaining that idea without accepting it:) )

I understand all that, and from the begining, the idea of looking for anything on one of those sights (one price, or free, or otherwise) made my skin crawl, kind of like the idea of buying some electronic gadget from the guy that hangs out at the bus station and sells stuff out of the pockets of his trechcoat... the concept seems the same to me. I sacraficed my morals and I regret that much more than any money I might have lost...

Anyway, as I stated in my third post of this thread, I'll buy the vinyl and digitize it. The quality will not be quite the same but after I clean it up it should suit my client...

thanks to all of you for your time and particularly to www.mymusicinc.com for the life lesson. Now if I can just get my money back, I will have gotten that valuable lesson for free:D

A Hard Lesson

Dear therog

Just one more point, check that the scammers cannot continually extract money from your method of payment.

Learning this lesson is one thing but to be continually ripped off is another.

Be safe.

Well, accept it or not, but it's true. Anyway, I hope you learned a good lesson, I hope you find what you are looking for, and I hope you have a good experience with LW. Good luck.
