Could anyone Please tell me why I am recieving to many bytes of infomation when I am connected to limewire. This happens all the time when l connect to limewire, even when I am not downloading any files. When I am downloading Files the amount of Bytes my computer says I am recieving compared to the size of the file is much larger. It seems as if someone is hacking into my computer to use my downloading.I have a limit to how much I can download each month with my internet company so you can see why this is a real problem for me.If I cant fix this I will stop using limewire.

I'd suggest chances are you are acting as an Ultrapeer (UP); ie: helping others to connect. You yourself connect via another UP & if you're using the free version of LW then you'll be connected to 3 UP's or the Pro version to 5 UP's. One way to check is to view your monitor window. Another I think is to do a bug test. Being a UP is good for the network. If you really don't wish to be a UP then you can disable it thru Speed options.
