Upgraded to 4.8.1 - everything now slow

The previous version worked great. I upgraded to the Pro version of 4.8.1 but the program itself, not the download speeds etc. runs very slowly. I can click on a search button (say, go from Audio to Video) and it will take 25 secs (I timed it!) before the action happens. Also, trying to scroll through the search results is an exercise in frustration, due to the long delay from a mouse click to the action. If I use the mouse wheel then, after a 30 sec approx delay, the results in the search window will start running up and down without stopping. All actions are equally delayed - even exiting the program. I end up having to use the Task Manager to 'end task'.

One other odd thing I've noticed is that when Limewire is loaded and running, Outlook Express wont load at all. The moment Limewire is turned off, then OE, if I'd tried to start it earlier, will immediately run without me doing anything else.

For a while, after I'd tried running Limewire and given up on numerous occasions, it began to operate normally. So whatever hiccup was happening, seemed to be cured. Well not so fast - today it's worse than ever. I've mailed Pro Support but have yet to hear back - I expect it'll be a couple of days.

I'm running Win XP Pro, with a p4 2.4ghz cpu and 1gb RAM with a 120gb HD. I also have installed the current version of Java Runtime Environment v.5.0.
