scam- DONT PAY FOR SUBSCRIPTION!!

i was recomended limewire from a friend and as i am fairly new to downloading music etc. i never knew anything about it , i searched limewire and i went to a website called www.limewireheadquarters.com i thought it looked good, it offered unlimited access for £24.95 , 2 years for 66p per month and 1 year for 99p per month. i went ahead and got the 1 year package i downloaded limewire and found it slow so i upgraded to pro and it was then i found that the version i had was free. I am currently trying to get my money back but i dont know if i will . Well i am learning the hard way but i shall learn from my mistakes i hope someone will read this before they do the same.
How do these people get away with it ? they should be shutdown.

It is not that clear, but if you read the fineprint you find that you pay for their service to provide you links to free software.
