If i order pro for $18.88, then how long will i have it for? All over the site all it says is six months of free updates, but i can't find the exact length of this subscription.

If you choose to purchase pro you can use it as long as you like. But if you want updated versions (when they're released) then you can get updated versions of pro for up to 6 months after your purchase. Once you have purchased it, the waiting period is generally about 24 hours before you receive an email from customer support with a link to your own personal downld page.

Only at the scam sites. I bet your friend only has the free version & it's not really the pro version (either that or it's a variation of LW such as eTomi which is sold by scam sites.) To find out if it's the pro version you go to the help menu & select about limewire... & that will tell you the version of LW it is.
