It would be really great to have a standard format for the name column.
eg: track no; song title; artist; album Any chance of a standard being set? |

I'm sure you are not alone in wishing this. I THINK it all comes down to ID Tags: 2.2 seems to offer little information and 2.3 far more ... but not always .... it seems to depend on what equipment was used to make the mp3 and if it is linked to iTunes etc etc. I get the feeling probably wrongly that some users try to hide some of their rarer files ... it certainly is hard, but satisfying work to find some of them. I can see no way to create a standard, less to maintain it, but someone out ther hopefully knows more than I do!
It is of course possible to enter information individually on each file in Limewire library, but I gave up on that long ago, as about 60% of the time the information you put on there, has simply vanished buy the next time you open Limewirer if not before. More feedback on this will be great. |
