Anyone know why when I save a file to my computer hard drive it saves it as a M3U file, which I can't save to a CD ?

An m3u file is simply a playlist file. It contains no actual audio info but only the names of the songs & pointers to the locations of the audio files. If you move the location of the songs from the time you made the playlist then the playlist won't work.
