clear inactive?

I'm not exactly sure what "clear inactive" does. I have a feeling I know but I am not touching that button til i'm 100 % sure. lol.

I'm slowly learning things on limewire and reading things here really helps even if I am not sure what your talking about at the time.


I found if I let LW set for about 10 minutes, as previously suggested so it can settle down, that makes a huge difference too. I also do less downloads at a time. I got a download speed of 169kb's a few minutes ago. nearly floored me. lol

Basically, it just removes the name from the list. It only removes the name: it has no effect on the file itself.

It's a handy button especially for people like me who have the "clear completed downloads" unchecked in the options. It's also a nice check on which of the "Awaiting sources" have giving up trying.

Go ahead and use it. You can always re-add a file to the list by going to the Library's Incomplete folder and resuming a file from there anyway.
