Everytime I try to chat with some thay dont awnser! How does this chat work?

The host that you are trying to chat with must have there chat enabled also. LimeWire must also be running in the foreground for them to see it, and they have to be in front of the screen to see it.

Most hosts go onto something else once they have LW started, and que what they want to d/l, so they never see the chat request when it is initiated. I have been gulty of this more than once.

Right, a lot of people will just que a list of files that they want to download leave or work on something else on their computers. I usually leaver LimeWire running over night even if I'm not downloading (since my ISP has no bandwidth limits I don't have any worries). I would say that the chat feature is pretty usless... But that's just my opinion. Good luck.

i have never figured out how to enable chatting, though I would love to be able to chat with certian hosts

I've never figured out how this works is there any one out there who can help me figure out this chatting?

Chat does not work very well it rarely will work at all and when it does it will usually will quit in the middle of you chat.

Did you enable the chat in your settings? I always turn mine off, most people do. Its in your settings, under tools, options, check or uncheck it.

Lyndaw, If you can manage to chat with anyone (2 way) you should congratulate your self and have minor celebration. I am sure you are doing everything right, but the system, on Limewire and Phex as well just doesn't work very often. I wish it did, but it just doesn't.. Sorry.... end of story.
