Question Windows XP

How do you disable the Windows XP firewall? I wanna see if people on Limewire will chat to me if i have that disabled. I dont know if it will make a difference, but its worth a try!

It won't make a difference. Leave the firewall up, even though it does very little to protect you. I've been using LimeWire since version 2.8 (however long ago that was, I can't remember) and no-one has ever chatted with me. Good luck.

Ok thanx, but I still wanna know how to disable it. I have Norton Firewall so i will still be protected, no worries.

So if anyone knows how to disable it, or turn it off, or SOMETHING, then please help.

Tools>options>chat. Uncheck the box to disable.

Ah, go to the control panel, double click on Windoze Firewall, check the disable box and you're set!
