So who has the super technique??? my computer easily downloads at 6-12mbs but i can barly squeeze 200kbs with lime wire pro. Anyone have any ideas? will limewire download faster if you share more files or something. should i not be running it behind a firewall? sometimes there is over 100 files avail. and it will be downloading from 7 hosts and i wont be getting a single kb transfered. help me!!!

any thoughts would be of great help.

ALthough you may come up with 100's of results, many of those will be busy & not have any open upld slots available. And some of those will simply be too difficult to connect to anyway.

Sharing & having people upld from you allows you to connect to more people & your search & dowld results should improve.

Don't turn your firewall off, configure it for LW. Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If false, then something such as a firewall is at least partially blocking LW. Uplder would be rare in that case. So make sure your firewall is properly configured for LW.
