BIGGEST bull EVER!!!

this thing is horrible, the switch from basic to pro was done noly for the spyware protection. Because of this i tolerated the slightly smaller variety of selection for downloads, the larger variety of downloads that would not complete or "need more sources"....i even tolerated them taking twice as long to download but what really ticks me off is when i am downloading particularly large files that take hours they always seem to find a way of RESTARTING THE DOWNLOAD whenever i restart my computer or limewire shuts down. This never happened before, not even on Kazaa, Morpheus, Aries, or WinMX. Overall...Limewire Pro is VERY disappointing.

yeah well out of frustration i came here and im not reading the rules as i am just venting frustration..i have no purpose of using these forums regularly so to be honest i could care less if i get banned or locked

Personally I'm about to go offline. But if you post in detail your problems then someone if not me will try to help solve your issue. Sometimes the answer between swapping b/w basic & pro is to delete the LW prefs folder. But sometimes it's technique of use.

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider?
10. Give us details of your issue & what is the diff between your use & problems faced between basic & pro.
