Everytime I open LimeWire, the splash screen opens, and it shows the things loading, but it freezes each time it gets to the part of loading the download window, I've tried uninstalling the program, and I even removed all registry entries, and then I reinstall it, but I keep getting the same thing, it tells me that it a hung app. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.


BTW, I was using LimeWire 4.8.1

Salut, you should go in add/remove programs, remove all the Java VMs. Then download java JRE 5.0 update 4, install it and launch LW: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

I installed the java update 4 but it's still freezing up on me. I have no clue as to what the problem may be, it's beginning to give me a migrane headache now, please help ! lol

I'm still getting the same thing, no matter which version of LimeWire I try to use

Then the issue is with your windows installation.

Do a windows update, a spyware check, an anti-virus check, if that doesn't help, use another P2P!
