Can't Put Music on MP3 hey, i have been having a hard time getting music onto my mp3. It has always worked before when dragging music into my mp3 files but now it is saying: Cannot Copy: the disk is write-protected remove the write-protection or use another disk. It would be great if someone could help. Thanks, Derek |
Are these wma files? What brand & model of mp3 player is it? Upon re-reading this, disk is write protected huh! That's odd. Can you give us more details what you're trying to do? |
ok well i have an mp3 and when i plug it into the USB port a file pops up with all of my music on my mp3. To get music on my mp3 i normally just take the music from limewire and drag it into this file but now when i do it that write-protection thing pops up and it wont let me put the music on my mp3. I also went to Puretracks and got some music hoping it would go on my mp3 but that came up with the same problem, it was also a waste of 20 dollars. |

What type of files are they? Are they wma or m4a or ... ? One or more of the files may have been purchased through an online music store in which case they may have protection against sharing. |

Have you tried sending them to your MP3 player through your shared folder outside of Limewire..Just right click on the file and select send to E Drive...;) |

Try to rightclick on a musicfile that you were trying to copy and select properties. See if the write protect box is checked. Think you have to be logged in as an administrator to change it if it is. If that's not it What is the make and model of your MP3 player. Try using google to look up if there are others with the same MP3 player having trouble |
