New version sux, how do I disable the 'update available' harrassment? Limewire Pro, and Windows XP user. I tried the new version, and it totally sucks. It locks up everything everytime, and I have to reboot my computer everytime it is used. Even after waiting an hour plus to let it "settle down". If I even try to stop a "more sources needed" download, it locks up for a LONG time and I have to reboot. I try to do a search, and it locks up, and I have to reboot. I downloaded it from the webpage I got in my email when I purchased it. I just reformatted and reloaded XP, and it still locks EVERYTHING up. I DO NOT want to use the new version but I get the annoying popup telling me a new version is available. How do I disable this annoying feature because the new version is worse than the old version? I also tried this when it was a Beta version, and it sucked just as bad. At least the older version works sometimes, not often, but every now and then. TIA. Gnutella has some nerve marketing this stuff. I paid for pro, I will at least try to get it to work. Last edited by enquisitor; August 20th, 2005 at 01:54 AM. |
