welp in all my years of using P2P I have yet to see an app that could filterout the 'size' of a file, only the extensions. |
I'll quicly explain to you: 1. Every filter is a set of rulles. 2. Every file has a set of attributes (one of them is the name, one is the extension, one is the size, and so on...) 3. Rulles can be/are made from a set of file attributes. So we have: File attributes -> Rulles -> Filter. Simple? And by the way there are p2p progs who can filter files by size. Keep on looking ;) |
alright stupid question: whats the diff in either filtering out the extension or just the size??? Wouldnt it do the samething? the only proggys I have ever used is bearshare lite and Limewire, tried afew new ones but couldnt stand em for long heh. |

1 Attachment(s) Take a look at this program search box when searching for audio files: |
1 Attachment(s) and here is LimeWire: |
oh ok I see what you mean, the size. I never have paid attention to that when I search I type in song title and author for music. Rarely do I fill out the entire search box. |
Hey man... but you said it...: Quote:

I dont use drop down boxes when I search. and it Still doesnt make a diff. virues and junk files will always be apart of P2P whether you can filter em by extensions or size, meh. Like I said previously, Im used to spotting a junk file a mile away and thats more important than filters ect. Personally Id rather see the search comeup, I dont believe in limits. :p |
FILTERS If there wasn't the filters than you wouldn't be able to search anything at all !!! The word "search" will have no meaning... |
