Did you get it from: www.limewire.com? if not and you paid for a fake Pro from some other website then you got scammed.

I even updated the basic version thats out now and have had no problems. In fact, since I installed the latest version, I'm at my top speed.

I suggest you email the company you bought the software from to get your money back.

mohannad_7 is right!

i looked into this and its all good. I searched programs for LWpro and it came up straight away, so i took the risk and DL it. It worked and none of my 6 virus detectors found anything sus! I hope this helps put the debate to rest. Im just wondering why I paid US$30 for the standard LW.....Think i got ripped off there...oh well s**t happens, at lease I got PRO for nothing.
Thanks for letting me in on this little secret mooo.

No doubt Limewire Devs will know of a way to prevent copies of LW pro that are unofficially obtained, being used. or maybe they'll spend the next six months trying to work out away and neglect the real job of developing LW further.

Why the *** this thread got driven in the direction it did is beyond me. Mohannad: you suggest getting LW off an unnoficial site. You admit you have a computer riddled with viruses. Can anyone see a connection between those totally independent????? facts.

Mahannad I think you also said you have a computer shop or something, for all I know you could work for the RIAA.

Your advise has been totally irrespionsible in this, and other threads on the same subject.

Limewire and the web in general are riddled in viruses, yet you are suggesting that we add to them and not try to stop them. Please come back with the sensible comments you have but lay off this subject because it's usefulness is zero

YES THERE ARE A FEW PROBLEMS WITH LIMEWIRE PRO INSTALLING> If people are having problems, there are enough archive posts and helpers on here. Lets have the problems explained properly and hopefully sorted without the risk of adding more garbage/viruses to the gnutella network.

You said, in one of your posts, that you can't get LW to start and you have done the following:
Quote:

I have installed Javascrpting and uninstalled LimeWire and reinstalled it and it will still Not Work.
I would like to point out that JAVASCRIPT AND JAVA are two different things, if, as you say, you have loaded Javascript onto your PC then LW will not work.

You need to load JAVA (Ver 1.5 or 5.0), which is available from the SUN web site:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

The page is somewhat confusing but there is enough info to help you to find what you want.
