Limewire Icon in System Tray

Is there any need to have the Limewire Icon in the System Tray?
As I always thought by having it there would use up system resources.

I do know how to remove it though.

ummm, if you minize it to system tray, it still use the resouces that it suppose to

Yeah, but I was meaning when the programme is open I have it in the system tray, will it not be better to have it not in that tray when I am using Limewire.
