![]() If you are not using a router and connect directly to your DSL modem check and make sure your modem software didn't install a firewall as well. I had a similiar problem and after checking with my DSL help files and the modem manufacturer found out I needed to disable my modem firewall. I had to do this online and received instructions on how to do this through my DSL (Alltel) help section. After I disabled the modem firewall I am still using the XP firewall with no problems. I wouldn't recommend disabling all your firewalls when using DSL. Please let me know if this helped. Good Luck, Dave |
