Hauleywood You did not say how much RAM memory is in your PC, if you have less than 512MB you are going to struggle so I suggest that should be your minimum goal. However, if you already have that amount of memory you should try to upgrade to 1GB. Usually a PC slows down because of the amount of work it has to do in the amount of memory it has, e.g. run an anti-virus app (essential), a firewall (essential) and other protective software, all running simultaneously with LW and Java. That lot will slow down all but the very latest PCs with loads of Ram. UK Bob |

ukbobboy01, Thanx for replying my friend.....the RAM issue is indeed a concern, I'm runnin w/ about 384meg SDRAM (3-128's) but i used to run LW Basic on here fine......well since after posting, I was looking around here and read about goin in and resetting all back to the default status....well guess what bud???.....frickin thing is runnin great now(for now..lol)....go figure!!!!.....but thanx for the advice |
