hey hope someone can be kind enough to help me, i am running lime wire on my mac and when i search for 'video' it only brings up quicktime films and not windows media files..... although i have windows media player installed, please can some help me fix this problem as i am limited to the movies i can get... thank

hmm I thought all macs had quick time installed. You will only find files that people are sharing and the only wmv files I usually see are auto generated spam.
If you want to get a variety of files in the format to suit you, it will probably be better to explore different players Are you on OSX ...if so there should not be a problem . If you are on OS 9 ... then you may well have a problem, since some modern formats were produced with no thought for OS9
