help! Program freezes on a blank language options box when starting program. Just ins

Just downloaded and installed LW 4.9.3 etc. When I attempt to run the program, a language options box comes up, and is blank. Nothing written and nothing to click on. Under neath of the box is a white box that sometimes says HTML Engine Loading, but nothing happens. It just usually goes all white and both boxes just sit there on my screen until I click the x on the Language box, then both boxes dissappear, but the program never starts. I unistalled it and installed it again with the same results. I unistalled it and downloaded it again and installed it and the same thing. I have restarted my computer etc. Im using windows xp with Service pack 2, but I did allow LW to go through. What shoulc I do to get this thing working. I need to download a song by morning for work???? Please help?
