This has been asked many times before and the answer is always the same: you should view paying for Pro more like a donation to help the LW project.

Hi kenshireen,
I'm using basic & that's fine for me, i don't download much but just leave the pgm going for others to upload from me.

Having said that, I'll probably get pro pretty soon just to support LW.

I might go pro if there were an option to paypal. I don't want to give them my credit card details direct.

I'm also worried that giving over personal details might make me more easily traceable should I dare to share something that happens to be copyrighted.

Download limewire pro from the network at your own risk.

You might save $18.88 but you may also find you are installing a virus or trojan.

I'd rather pay the money, thank you.

We'll find out who is the idiot here when you get a virus / trojan / spyware on your computer.

Yes it's good to have virus checkers and I have Norton Anti-Virus but that doesn't mean you should stop being vigilant.
