Ok tonight there was a story on the news regarding a mother in New York that is getting sued for $7,500 because her kids were downloading music. I did not see anything regarding limewire however I did see Morpheus. Is there reason for concern? My own mother has been preaching about downloading after seeing this story. And, if one gets a subscription to Limewire will it make it legal.

This topic has been discussed many many times. That's probably why you didn't get much of a response.
The Limewire app itself is perfectly legal. It's all in how it is used. If you download copyrighted material and the laws where you live say thats illegal, then you have broken the law. LW is a file sharing app, what you share or download is your responsibility. For more info, do a forum search on "legal issues". The search button is in the upper right of this page between f.a.q. and home.
