Help any one?
I downloaded limewire basic but can't get it to start. It starts to initialize but it get stuck there for ever. Any suggestions? Thanks. Bob. |

Have you tried both Downloads ?
one is an installer (small size) and one is Limewire.exe might help not sure though

Thank you Sleepless! I have tried both ways and I get the same result. It starts to inicialize and stays there for ever. I have also tried downloadind with the firewall disactivated but, nothing.
Any other suggestions or advice. How can one contact Limewire? Thank.

Unless you're a pro user there is no way to contact LW.
I'd suggest you try these things: 1. Steps 1 & 2 here Fixes for Limewire; ie: reinstall Java using the "Offline" Java installer. 2. With the new version of LW, you'll have a new set of preferences folder which has a different name & location. Follow these directions but instead of searching frostwire, you search limewire: How to delete your FrostWire Preferences folder & is found here C:\Documents and Settings\*yourusername*\Application Data\limewire |
