![]() Why is there an ever increasing amount of dud files on Limewire??? especially MP3 files with NO bitrate and not available to download and what is it with the virus files 851.7KB ??? why do people keep virus's on thier pc's????? file sharing is dying... |

![]() Those types of files are obviously not being churned out onto the network by your average user. However they may accidentally downld them & keep them is their share folder until they've checked them. If you have LW 4.10 then learn to filter out the junk. A quick description of what to filter out (click on link) As for dud mp3's, I guess it depends. Some mp3's from other gnutella clients don't necessarily show the bit rate until after you've downlded them. But then yes there's also those that don't show bit rate & are basically unplayable. I found I had some issues with ogg files but they're different. |

![]() Hi, thanks for the info I do have LW 4.10, i've filtered out the file sizes that are 851.7KB (obviously virus's) but it doesn't filter them all, some still leak through for some reason. as for the files without bitrate, i've been looking for purticular songs and a search will bring up around 315 files and i've tried downloading every single one without success, they all just say 'need more sources' and unable to download them, the odd 1 or 2 i manage to download does not play even after trying to convert them. i've been using Limewire for quite some yrs now and never experienced these issues until now...it just seems that file sharing is slowly dying |
