Is LimeWire Worth it?

Is limewire worth the trouble it's giving me? I was planning on going pro, but I'm getting problems that no one can seem to fix: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...294#post184294

As well, there seems to be debate about whether the newest version even works properly or not....

Coupled with the fact that Limewire is being brought to court in february (apparently)..

So I'm wondering...is it worth upgrading to pro and hoping my problems will just dissappear?

I have much the same set up as you, XP Home. SP2. I have Limewire 4.10 and My Java is J2SE Runtime Enviroment 5.0 update 3.

Not had any problems at all with Limewire Pro, well worth the £11.00 from the Official Limewire site.

Well...if I max out my internet speed right now (at 120ish kb/s) how would pro make it go faster? Or would it all ow a SINGLE download to max it out because of more sources?

I don't really understand what Pro offers.

Hi there

From what I understand, pro allows you to connect to more hosts and that speeds up your download. If you think you are getting the max at the moment I wouldn't bother.

The best way to learn on here is to read back some old posts. I am sure your question will have been asked before and it won't have changed much in the last few months.
