I have LimeWire 4.10.10 and Windows XP with SP2. Whenever I go to Tools/Options, the window appears strange. It is too small to see the writing on the buttons at the bottom, and I can't resize it. I have attached a screen shot. How can I fix this?

Hmm... it might be the settings that you've made in your Control Panel if you had made changes to the appearances. That's the only thing that I can come up with.

CyberStalker, what exactly should I change in my appearances settings? I am not sure if I want to change my Windows appearance too drastically. I like the way it looks, and I don't think it's worth affecting all my programs just to get one program to work properly. Only A Hobo, I tried deleting my limewire folder, and that didn't fix the problem. I also tried some of the suggestions in the link. I updated my Java version, although I believe I already had the latest version (1.50). I changed the compatibility setting to Windows 2000. That didn't work either. I didn't see any "Run As" option for the desktop icon. Does anyone else have any suggestions? In case I can't get it working, does anyone know of any other good file-sharing programs for Windows?

Oh, I forgot to mention, I have an ATI Radeon 9250 AGP card. Not an actual ATI Radeon, but a Gigabyte card with a Radeon chipset. I can't remember the exact model number. It has 128 MB of RAM.

Thanks Only A Hobo. I still think the problem is annoying. This is one more thing that I have to remember. Also, what if someone wants to borrow my computer? Has anyone else had experience with this problem?

Despite what my forum colleagues have said the problem you have is not that complicated. All you have to do is resize the entire box using your mouse, just follow these instructions: 1) Using your mouse, drag the box to the top of your screen. 2) Position your mouse pointer on the bottom line of the box and wait until the pointer turns into a drag symbol. 3) Drag the bottom line of the box downwards until your buttons appear. Now, wherever LW starts up you will get the full box. UK Bob PS. I had the same problem when I first started to use LW. |

I started up Limewire and loaded up the options window, and somehow it was fixed! I don't know what, if anything, I did. In case anyone cares, I have a screen shot.
