How Do You find Out your i.p address. I want to hook up with a buddy of mine by direct connect but I have no clue how to find my i.p. address and neither does he. Can Anybody Plz Help me?? If ya know how to could you plz tell me how it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

When you click on Direct Connect, it will tell you what IP address to give your friend

That's weird. When I click on DC, it says "when your friends want to connect to you, they should enter *******:****(my IP address).

What version of LW are you using?

If the DC's not doing it, go to:

http://www.whatismyip.com/

That'll tell you your IP & then after the last digit, add this:
:Limewire's port number

Tools > options > advanced > firewall config & then you'll see what port LW's using.

After the IP address & the colon, you'll have to put in LW's port (it might not be the same for yu both). go to tools > options > advanced > firewall config & you'll be able to see what port LW is listening on.
