Default Shutting down Limewire freaks out my PC

Ok the program works like a dream does everything it's supposed to do.
But when I turn it off it resetts Windows XP Pro. Every time.
I have even tried uninstalling this new version 4.10 and installing old versions that are still getting around and they all do it.

About 5 seconds after the Limewire shutdown process has finished,,BINGO the black screen of death.Like I already said it happens every time.
My PC runs like a dream also and I have no problems with it except for this.
What can be causing this to happen?

I strongly suggest you run a Anti Virus cleaner and make sure you have no hidden trojans on your system.

Sphinx thanks for the tip but that is always the answer that software companies give to all problems when they don't know or can't be bothered helping. Just so it looks like they have helped.

But at least you tried which is more than I can say for the boys at Slimewire.

Not everyone is hopeless and allows viruses to get on their PC'S.
Anyway I did what you said I checked with NOD32 which is one of the better ones and it found nothing.

As I said in my first Post:

1.)This problem only started when I installed Limewire.

2.)This problem only occurs when I shut down Limewire.

3.)This problem does not happen with any other program on my PC.Nothing else is effected.
So just maybe don't you think this GLITCH may be caused by Limewire?

Default Same here

Same thing happening to me after installing the latest version. I posted a topic about it on the 26th because I didn't see yours (no 'crash' in subject or message).

In any case, what seemed to make it happen less was to NOT select the 'immediate shutdown' option when exiting Limewire.
Since I can't have unstable stuff like this latest version trashing my system I had to remove it all together. I would love to have a working version again, but the general lack of response leads me to believe that if it's fixed at all, it will be under the radar.

No viruses or spyware related junk on the system either. Even tried it with a virgin install.
