downloaded/installed limewire basic, and it does not open/run
hey guys
i've had limewire for a while, but then uninstalled, didn't need it for a while. now, i'm trying to use it again, i downloaded the latest version (i have tried the offline installer as well as the online one) and i install, choose the language, and at the end of the installation, "Run LimeWire" is checked, but it does not run. i have tried opening it through the start menu/desktop/folder, but it doesn't open. i have also tried unchecking the "Run LimeWire" and opening it manually: no success. i have tried restarting windows (xp, sp2) immediately after the installation, still doesn't work. i have deleted the .limewire folder, still nothing. can anyone suggest anything else? or possibly an equally good p2p program?
