aloha! in limewire searches can you use quotes to get the search to return more relevant matches? for example, i was looking for a new cd called "salsa mayor" and got all kinds of other stuff just because it had "salsa" in the title.
thanks in advance for any help. |

Try using the All Types search, instead of just Audio. If you know the title of any of the songs, try adding that to the search. Or any of the artists on the album.
You're bound to get some other unwanted results, just because of the way the search works. Search at different times of day...hosts are all in different time zones! *Please don't mention artists or titles on the forum, due to copyright laws. |

I've searched repeatedly throughout the threads here and can't seem to narrow down my thread's issue, so I'm posting it here. Sorry if this has already been answered.
Ok, I downloaded LW Basic last week and got about 15 songs real quick. After that I let it sit for a few days, until I got my songs arranged where I wanted them. Now for the last 3 or 4 days I've been trying to download ANYTHING with LW and the searches all come up with nothing. I've tried every mode and method that I cold find to get a single search to find anything. I've looked thru the FAQ's and the forums and haven't found this issue anywhere. I am working with my home PC and have given firewall access, but still find nothing. CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE??

Wallylama,
Try deleting your preferences. Instructions here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=36420 If this doesn't help, go through your preferences (in Tools > Options etc) and: Disable ultrapeer capabilities Set to show all qualities & all speeds Set your simultaneous searches to 5 *Is your connection ok and are you sure that it's nothing to do with your ISP blocking or filtering p2p? |

Tried all this and still nothing. Even uninstalled and reinstalled. To my knowledge, my ISP doesn't block any of the P2P programs.
I'm just so confused. |

I don't think you should be putting quotation marks in
